Error message from the tyre pressure monitoring system in the driver display, e.g. after changing a tyre or for low tyre pressure

For example, if you see the Check Car Status app in center display message in your driver display, you need to calibrate/save a new tyre pressure in the tyre pressure monitoring system.

Calibrate/Save a new tyre pressure in the tyre pressure monitoring system1

 Note

For cars manufactured from and including November 2018 and onwards, the Calibrate command has changed name to Store Pressure in the Car Status in-car app under the TPMS option.

For example, if the Tyre pressure low, Check Car Status app in center display message is visible in the driver display or if you have just changed tyre, and your car has the new command name, you can follow the instructions below to calibrate the tyre monitoring system, but instead of the Calibrate option you choose the Store Pressure option. Calibration is then performed automatically while you are driving the car.

After changing a tyre or adjusting tyre pressure, the new tyre pressure needs to be calibrated/saved in the tyre pressure monitoring system. Similarly, a calibration is required if this symbol 15w49 - Support site - Tyre pressure symbol illuminates and/or you see the Check Car Status app in center display message in your driver display. When you calibrate/save a new tyre pressure, the tyres are checked and the pressure is saved in the system. This is carried out as follows:

With the ignition switched off, inflate all tyres and check the tyre pressure. For more information about tyre pressure, see the tyre pressure label on the driver's side door pillar.
Start the car.

Open the Car Status app.

16w10 - Support site - My Car App
Press TPMS.
Select Calibrate.
Press OK to confirm that the tyre pressure has been checked and adjusted in all four tyres.
Drive the car.

Storing the new tyre pressure takes place when the car is driven at a speed above 35 km/h (22 mph).

Once sufficient data has been collected to enable the system to detect low tyre pressure, the animation showing storage progress disappears from the centre display. The system does not provide further confirmation that storing the new tyre pressure has been completed.

Allow storing to finish in the same individual driving cycle to ensure that the new tyre pressure has been saved correctly. If storing the new tyre pressure is unsuccessful, the Storing pressure unsuccessful. Try again. message is shown.

You can find information about tyre pressures on the driver's side door pillar.

 Note

Remember to save a new tyre pressure after every tyre change or after tyre pressure adjustment.

The car must be stationary when saving a new tyre pressure is started.
