The Volvo V90

See and be seen with the LED headlights in the V90. The T-shaped light signature is a clear identifier for the V90. LED Illumination technology automatically switches between dipped and full beam, for maximum illumination without dazzling road users. Range-topping full-LED Active High Beam Illumination adapts the light pattern so you can use full beam safely, all the time. And for a better view through corners, it includes Active Bending Lights that turn in the same direction as the steering wheel by as much as 30˚.

The V90 is full of thoughtful touches to make loading and carrying easier. Four metal eyelets in the floor provide lashing points to secure cargo, and a load net helps to secure loose objects. Shopping bag hooks and a bag holder that folds out of the floor stop bags from sliding around the load compartment. And the tailgate comes with a hands-free option, allowing you to open it by moving your foot under the rear bumper.

The V90 is available with a panoramic roof that extends over the rear seats – so everyone in the car benefits from enriching natural light. The front section of the roof tilts and opens for extra ventilation, and a powered sunshade keeps the interior cool.

Sensus Navigation is our fully integrated, connected navigation system. It helps you get where you want to go as easily as possible and includes helpful features such as Send to Car, which allows you to send destinations to your car, either from your browser or through the Volvo On Call app. Sensus Navigation also gives you access to navigation-related services and apps that help you find new experiences and new places to go, in a way that’s intuitive and easy to understand.

In the V90, technology helps make journeys relaxing and more enjoyable. The digital driver display puts important information directly in front of you, and automatically adjusts brightness to surrounding light conditions to reduce eye strain. An optional head-up display projects information onto the windscreen, reducing the need to take your eyes off the road. And voice control recognises natural speech, allowing you to operate climate control, navigation, media and phone just by talking to it.

With a choice of drive modes, the V90 offers different driving experiences to match the road ahead, or your mood. Switching between three settings alters the characteristics of the engine, gearbox, steering, brakes, stability control system and engine stop/start. Comfort mode sets the car up for comfort, Dynamic sharpens the responses and Eco maximises efficiency. A fourth mode, Individual, allows you to combine characteristics to create a drive tailored to you.

The optional Four-C active chassis is an electronically controlled damping system that constantly adjusts the suspension on the move.

Hear every detail with range-topping Bowers & Wilkins audio in the V90. This high-quality audio system delivers clarity and realism through 15 speakers, including a unique subwoofer that draws air in from outside the car to create deeper, more resonant bass.

Three different room modes – Studio, Individual Stage and Gothenburg Concert Hall – allow you to tailor the sound to your music or mood. Stainless steel speaker grilles with the Bowers & Wilkins logo and trademark yellow speaker cones make this a system that looks as good as it sounds.

Bring the functions you love with you through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto in the V90. Simply plug in and the centre display with touch screen becomes an extension of your smartphone. It’s easy to access your music, messages and make calls, and you can use voice control to talk to your phone’s personal assistant. While the phone is plugged in you can still see the car’s other functions on the touch screen, because Apple CarPlay and Android Auto only use the lower half of the display.

With the T8 Twin Engine plug-in hybrid powertrain, the V90 takes on the qualities of a true performance car. A choice of drive modes allow you to change the car’s character. In Pure mode, the T8 Twin Engine provides enough electric-only power for most daily commutes. Power mode combines the petrol engine and electric motor to give you maximum responsiveness. In default Hybrid mode, the V90 selects or combines the power sources for smooth, efficient progress. And the AWD mode gives you the extra security of all-wheel drive.

The 360˚ Camera available for the V90 helps to make parking easier by giving you a bird’s-eye view of your car and its immediate surroundings. It’s especially useful when negotiating tight spaces and allows you to see the car’s position in relation to its surroundings. The surround view from the four wide-angle lens cameras appears on the centre touch screen and is available at speeds up to 10km/h.

City Safety helps to protect people inside and outside the V90 by looking out for potential danger and reacting to it if necessary. Radar and camera technology identifies potential hazards such as other vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians and large animals ahead, day or night. If City Safety detects an imminent collision it warns you. If you don't react in time, the brakes are applied automatically to help avoid or mitigate a collision. City Safety also includes Steering Support, which helps you to steer away from danger as effectively and safely as possible.

Extend the versatility of the V90 with Volvo Cars-designed accessories. A pair of low-profile load carriers fit to the car’s roof and allow you to use the lightweight roof box, adding 350 litres to the car’s carrying capacity. It comes with LED lighting in the lid to make loading in the dark easy. Roof-mounted bike holders and ski holders are also available as part of this range.
