28 January 2026, Volvo Car UK today announces a number of changes to its Executive Management Team.
Marc Piovesan joins Volvo Car UK (VCUK) as Chief Financial Officer, reporting to Managing Director Nicole Melillo Shaw. Joining the business on 23rd February 2026 and based in the UK head office in Maidenhead, Piovesan will be responsible for leading the financial strategy of the business, to ensure Volvo’s continued strong financial performance, governance and compliance.
Joining VCUK from Porsche Cars GB, Piovesan has 20+ years of global financial experience, holding previous roles at Porsche Cars Canada and Korea, Hyundai Canada and Deloitte & Touche LLP.
Marc Piovesan, incoming Chief Financial Officer, Volvo Car UK added: “I am really excited to be joining Volvo Cars. The UK business has been through huge transformation in the last few years and watching from the sidelines I have always been impressed at the results. I am looking forward to joining the team and supporting the business to reach new heights.”
Suzanne Woolley has expanded her role to become Consumer Experience and Operations Director. This new role emphasises the importance of delivering a premium consumer experience, allowing Volvo to fully realise the opportunities of operating in their direct-to-consumer model. She remains on the UK Executive Management Team, reporting into Nicole Melillo Shaw.
Following Volvo Cars’ global redesign to introduce Cluster organisations in the Europe and APeC region, Louise French (Head of Marketing Europe and APeC, Volvo Cars) will assume a strategic Marketing Director position for the UK & Ireland cluster team. She will lead the direct-to-consumer marketing strategy in the UK and join the UK Executive Management Team with effect from 1st February. Louise will continue to support the transition of the Cluster Organisations in her current role of Head of Marketing Europe & APeC.
Finally, Rob Deane has decided to leave his current role as Commercial Operations Director to pursue a new opportunity outside of VCUK. Joining the business in March 2024, Rob has overseen the new car sales, aftersales, retail network operations and fleet areas of the business, supporting Nicole Melillo Shaw in huge growth across all areas. He leaves April 2026 and a successor will be announced in due course.
Nicole Melillo Shaw, Managing Director, Volvo Car UK commented: “Marc’s track-record of financial and operational excellence will be a fantastic addition to our business, and I am really looking forward to working with him. Volvo Car UK has been on an incredible journey since we transformed into a direct-to-consumer model, and there is still much opportunity for us to continue to grow in the UK.”
“I also wanted to thank Rob for everything he has achieved during his time with the business and to congratulate Louise and Suzanne on their new roles within VCUK.”
In 2025, Volvo Car UK recorded 68,776 new car registrations (up 3.57% YoY) and a market share of 3.4%. The Volvo XC40 was the UK’s 7th best-selling model of the year, and the Volvo EX30 was the UK’s 10th best-selling BEV of the year. This year, Volvo will welcome two new fully electric models to the UK - the Volvo ES90 and the Volvo EX60.
The ES90 is a fully electric premium car offering safety, technology and versatility in the sleek shape of a modern, electric sedan. The ES90 can provide 435 miles of range and has one of the lowest carbon footprints of any Volvo Car to date – demonstrating that fully electric cars are a good choice for both customers and the climate.
The EX60 has just been revealed in Stockholm and is Volvo’s latest addition to the product line-up. This fully electric mid-size SUV offers over 500 miles of range and has the ability to charge from 10-80% in 18 minutes*. It also offers built-in AI with Google Gemini and debuts advanced technology including the world-first multi-adaptive safety belt.
