Volvo Car Corporation, a Swedish legal entity with company registration number 556074-3089 with address Assar Gabrielssons Väg, SE-405 31, Gothenburg, Sweden, hereinafter referred to as “Volvo”, “we”, “us”, will as controller process your personal data as further described below.

Purpose and legal basis for processing

To better understand how to improve our products and services – and which new ones to develop – we take a data-driven approach and leverage vehicle, product, customer and sales data to inform the direction of the development of products and services. The processing spans a wide range of analytics, modelling and research performed by our analysts and data scientists.

The legal basis for this processing is legitimate interest. We will generally not seek your consent unless this is deemed necessary in the individual case or required by applicable law. However, where possible, we restrict analyses to anonymized or pseudonymized data. The processing does not include any automatic decision making, such as profiling, of you.

Data Categories

The data we process are not tied or limited to a specific products or services (e.g., Volvo On Call, Volvo ID, Connected Safety, etc.), but refers to a broad range of data analyses towards the general goal of product and service development. No data collection is done as part of the data processing outlined in this notice.
