Manage your Volvo On Call subscription

Volvo On Call is a subscription service. Your subscription includes emergency assistance and security services as well as app services. This article describes how you manage your Volvo On Call subscription.

Status of Volvo On Call subscription

You can see the status for your Volvo On Call subscription in your Volvo On Call app under "Show details" in the "Car" tab. You can also extend your subscription here.

If you do not have access to the Volvo On Call app, contact your dealer who will help you to find information on the expiry date of your subscription. You need to enter your car's VIN number (Vehicle Identification Number). For information on how to find the VIN number, see Finding the car's VIN (Vehicle Identification Number).

Extend your Volvo On Call subscription

Amongst other things, you can extend your Volvo On Call subscription in the Volvo On Call app or by purchasing an extension online. For more information on how to extend your subscription, see Extend your Volvo On Call subscription.

Message to indicate that your Volvo On Call subscription will soon be expiring

If your Volvo is of model year 2011 or later, you will be notified that your subscription is about to run out and that you need to renew it.

You will be notified 45 days before the subscription expires, with a message on your Volvo’s display telling you that your Volvo On Call subscription is about to run out. If you are using the Android or iOS version of the Volvo On Call app, you will also receive reminders in your app.

Disabled Volvo On Call subscription

When the subscription time has expired, you will receive a message on your car display saying 'On Call Deactivated' (Cars of model year 2011 or later only). This message disappears when the subscription is reactivated.

You will not be able to use the Volvo On Call services or the Volvo On Call app when your subscription has expired. Though, the emergency services via the SOS button and automatic collision alert will continue to function. Roadside assistance costs

Roadside assistance costs are included for the first XVaries from market to market. years when you buy a new Volvo. When this time has passed, you will be offered free roadside assistance in most markets if the car has been serviced regularly by an authorised Volvo workshop. An authorised Volvo dealer can notify you of the status of your roadside assistance agreement.

Volvo On Call can help you get back on the road, even if your Roadside Assistance agreement has expired. In this case, you will be asked to pay the cost for the service that is sent out to you.
