Anti-theft warning
When the car's alarm is activated, the car owner receives a message to the phone number registered with the dealer and then a push notification in the Volvo Cars app.
If you have lost track of where your car is located, you can contact Volvo support via the Volvo Cars app or phone for assistance. If it turns out that the car is being used by an unauthorised person, tracking can be started. The police are then contacted.
Stolen Vehicle Tracking (SVT)2
If theft or other unauthorised use of the car has been discovered, then the car's owner along with the police and Volvo support agree that the car should be traced. Volvo support sends a message to the car to determine the car's position. Following which, the police or other authority are contacted.
