Volvo ID
Volvo ID is a personal login which consists of a username (email address/mobile number) and a password. Volvo ID is used when logging in to certain services from Volvo (read more below). To read more about how to create a Volvo ID, see Create and register a Volvo ID .

Examples of services
Online services requiring Volvo ID are described below. The services apply to cars fitted with Sensus Connect.
Note
From and including February 2020, it is no longer possible to send map destinations from websites to the car.
- Send to Car – Using the "Send to Car" service, you can send an address from a map service via the Volvo Cars app. To use this function, you need the car's VIN or a Volvo ID. For more information, see Send to Car.
- Volvo ID is used when you log in to the Volvo Cars appApplies to certain markets.*.
Why have a Volvo ID?
A Volvo ID consists of a username and a password and it gives you access to Volvo's different services.
Note
When you change the username/password for a service (e.g. Volvo On CallOnly applies to certain markets.) it will also be changed automatically for other services (e.g. when logging in to https://www.volvocars.com/).
Car model/model year
XC90 and XC90 Twin Engine/Recharge Plug-in Hybrid from model year 2016 to 2022.
S90, V90 and V90 Cross Country from model year 2017 to 2021.
XC60, XC60 Twin Engine/Recharge Plug-in Hybrid, V90 Twin Engine/Recharge Plug-in Hybrid and S90 Twin Engine/Recharge Plug-in Hybrid from model year 2018 to 2021.
XC40 from model year 2018 onwards.
XC40 Twin Engine/Recharge Plug-in Hybrid, V60, V60 Twin Engine/Recharge Plug-in Hybrid, V60 Cross Country, S60, S60 Twin Engine/Recharge Plug-in Hybrid from model year 2019 to 2022.
