Privacy and data sharing

Many connected services and apps need to be able to send and receive information and data. The data sharing function for your connected services and apps is deactivated as standardDoes not apply to the Volvo On Call option in the markets where Volvo On Call is available.. To be able to use certain connected services and apps in the car, you must choose yourself to activate data sharing for them.

Privacy and data sharing settings for connected services and downloaded apps was introduced with the software update released in November 2017. The settings can be found under Privacy and data in the settings menu in the car's centre display.

Using the data sharing settings, you can choose yourself which of your connected services should be permitted to share data, and you can also activate data sharing for downloaded apps. Note that services and apps cannot be used as intended if the data sharing function is deactivated for them.

After a factory reset or e.g. a workshop visit or software update, the data sharing settings may have been reset to their default settings. You may need to reactivate data sharing for your connected services and for downloaded apps.

You can set Data sharing for services and apps via the settings menu or in connection with starting them in your centre display.

S90, V90 and V90 Cross Country of model year 2017 onwards with installed or updated software available from and including November 2017
