  • The car is under supervision
  • The car is not parked in an enclosed space/area with inadequate ventilation - the exhaust gases can cause serious injury to both people and animals.
  • There is no risk that people or animals can come into direct contact with the car (e.g. during a service in a workshop or children playing near the car).
  • Use of the function at the set time (e.g. with regard to sound level and idling) is authorised in accordance with the law.

The system will also check the following before starting the engine:

  • Engine status is OK (no critical fault codes)
  • Sufficient fuel level (more than 8 litres (2.11 US gallons)).
