Learning from experience
Taking new technology out of the lab and into the real world means we will find answers to the questions that need asking.
Allowing your car to drive you requires complete trust in the technology. It’s going to require confidence in the car – confidence that it’s safe and knows where it’s going. We know the technology works but our customers must believe it too. Drive Me will show us how to achieve this.
We need to understand how human drivers react to and interact with self-driving cars to make autonomous technology work and Drive Me will help us do this. By trialling IntelliSafe Autopilot on public roads we can find out what happens when the two meet.
Why we work together
Autonomous cars need roads to support them and an infrastructure to operate within. With the help of our partners in the Drive Me project we will learn about how to change the physical and virtual world to support the future of personal transport.
