Volvo wallbox and real-time energy meter warranty
In most EU countries, the mandatory minimum warranty period for the wallbox and real-time energy meter is 2 years. In Norway, Portugal and Spain the warranty period is 3 years.
Your Volvo wallbox must be mounted by a certified electrician. It's recommended that the electrician is a certified Volvo installation partner. If this wasn't organised when purchasing your wallbox, contact a Volvo dealer who can help you select one.Note
Proof of warranty
Your receipt is your valid warranty document. If you want to make a warranty claim, you'll need to provide your receipt as proof of purchase and warranty.
You also need to provide a receipt of installation from the certified electrician who installed your wallbox or real-time energy meter.
Claim process
If you're experiencing problems with you wallbox or real-time energy meter that you can't solve, contact Volvo support to start a claim[1]. Read the following article on how to check for errors yourself:
When making a claim, Volvo support will carry out a fault tracing diagnostic. If the problem can't be diagnosed, a certified installation partner will need to do a physical inspection of the wallbox or real-time energy meter:
- to see if any repairs are needed,
- to see if replacements are needed. The installer will demount the wallbox or real-time energy meter if they need to be replaced.
You need to return the demounted wallbox or real-time energy metre to the retailer along with your original receipt, the installer's repair order and invoice. You can then order a replacement and have it installed by a certified electrician.Note
Once this process is complete, you can start a warranty claim through the retailer.
