Start/Stop
With the Start/Stop function, the engine switches off temporarily when the car has stopped e.g. at traffic lights or in a traffic queue, and then starts again automatically when the journey is resumed.
Using jump starting with another battery
If the starter battery is discharged then the car can be started with current from another battery.
Starter battery
The electrical system is single-pole and uses the chassis and engine casing as a conductor. The starter battery is used to start up the electrical system and drive the starter motor as well as other electrical equipment in the car. The starter battery should be replaced by a workshop.
