Volvo Employee Prioritises Family Safety in an Uncertain World

"Suddenly, the world felt different. Everything became a potential threat, and even driving, something I had done countless times before, started to feel daunting. Watching the news made me question what kind of world we are living in," Cecilia Björk Bang-Melchior, Senior Manager Customer Experience at Volvo Cars Sweden, reflects.
In a world that feels increasingly uncertain on so many levels, Cecilia believes in focusing on what she can control. And for her, that means ensuring her children travel in the safest car possible.
"I feel incredibly grateful that I have the privilege of putting my children in a car designed with safety at its core. We only have one life, and I will do everything in my power to spend as much time as possible with my loved ones."
For Cecilia and her family, the car represents more than just a means of transport—it is the key to living life to the fullest. Whether it's heading to the Swedish mountains for skiing and cycling or exploring new places, their car enables them to experience the world while knowing they have safety protections.
"Staying at home to avoid risks might be the safest option, but what kind of life is that? Instead, I choose to embrace the adventure while making the best choices for our safety. And in our family, the car plays a crucial role in that balance."

Global Road Safety: Advancements in Technology and Research Paving the Way for Safer Roads
Parents across the globe share a universal concern—road safety. Since the 1970s, we have analysed over 50,000 cars involved in real accidents with over 80,000 passengers. Volvo Cars design vehicles to be equally safe for everyone—regardless of gender, age, height, shape, or weight.
