Volvo Cars unveils the ALL-NEW C40 RECHARGE PURE ELECTRIC

Over the last few years, a growing number of drivers in Thailand have made it clear they want to choose a sustainable form of transport, and the Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric, our first ever electric only car, delivers on our promise of giving people the freedom to move in a safe and sustainable way.”

The all-new Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric is designed to go beyond 100% electric driving, as it will also receive software updates in real-time to support future uses and technologies and boost its performance and features. The future of Volvo Cars is electric and the new Volvo C40 Recharge is the latest manifestation of Volvo’s commitment to a zero-emission future.

The Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric is built on Volvo's Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) platform, which was designed exclusively for compact crossover coupes to fit the emotions and uniqueness of the driver. The crossover's roofline has been reduced to resemble the low-sloping shape of a coupe, while the patch-style taillights match the main light panel behind the car to perfectly reflect the car's combination of modern and classic design elements. The Aero Optimized Spoiler Panel adds to the allure and appeal of the all-new Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric, as well as improving balance and grip on the road. The front of the car also maintains the identity of Volvo's 100% electric vehicle with a body-coloured cover grille decorated with the Volvo logo. It’s elegant and minimal, in typical Scandinavian style.

The All-New Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric is equipped with an all-wheel-drive system that delivers a maximum 408 horsepower and up to 660 Nm of torque, giving it the power to accelerate from 0-100 km / h in just 4.7 seconds. It offers an anticipated range of around 500 km per full charge from a battery that can be fast-charged to 80 percent in about 37 minutes. The all-new Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric uses the one-pedal drive system to help accelerate and bring the car to a stop, and it can start driving without pressing the start button.

The technical specifications are based on data from the all-new Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric for the 2022 Model, and may alter for some information in the future for 2023 Model.

In addition to driving performance, the All-New Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric features cutting-edge technology to provide a safe and enjoyable driving experience. State-of-the-art Pixel Technology Headlight uses a front camera sensor to control all 84 LEDs in the headlights independently of each other so that drivers in the opposite lane are not blinded. Furthermore, each light can adjust its brightness automatically in response to the ambient light. The new Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS) includes a welcome light indication when the driver presses the door handle, and assists cameras and sensors around the car in detecting objects more efficiently. Other driving assistance functions include Driver Assist with Pilot Assist (semi-autonomous driving assistance), Adaptive Cruise Control (variable speed control to maintain distance), Collision Avoidance (collision avoidance and automatic stopping), Cross Traffic Alert with Auto Brake (to alert the driver when a car approaches from the side while reversing from a parking spot with automatic stop function), and Lane Keeping Aid (vibration alerts on the steering wheel when the car goes outside the lane).

The stylish and elegant interior of the all-new Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric also reflects the driver's individuality. Topography Translucent Decor style front console is inspired by the landscape of the Swedish mountains and is applied to three layers of various materials, creating a three-dimensional image of the glowing surface that adds to the cabin's uniqueness. The Panoramic Glass Roof provides a view and a sense of freedom in the cabin, while insulating the cabin from up to 80% of the outside heat. Enjoy the Volvo infotainment system with Google Built-in, which allows you to utilize Google apps such as Google Maps and Google Assistant, a voice-activated system that uses "Hey Google" to control apps like Sportify and Google Play, or the user can control it via the Volvo Cars App on the driver's smartphone.

The all-new Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric is available in 7 color options: Fusion Red, Sage Green, Onyx Black, Thunder Gray Metallic, Silver Dawn, Crystal White Pearl, and the latest color, Fjord Blue.

The all-new Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric is priced at 2,750,000 baht and includes a complimentary Volvo Care Package* that consists of

installation package includes single phase 7.4 kW with 30-meter-long electrical cable, which can be upgraded to three phase 22 kW with additional fee. The power supply must be 230 volts for a single phase or 400 volts for three phase electricity. The free service cost does not cover the upgrade of electricity meter and additional electrical cable which exceeds 30 meter long.
