Volvo has launched new collaborations with top entertainment platforms allowing customers the chance to transform their car into a personal movie theatre at the click of a switch. Catering to the ever-changing lifestyle needs of today’s customers, Volvo has installed Prime Video and YouTube applications to enhance the in-car atmosphere.
Prime Video and YouTube video streaming services reflect Volvo’s dedicated vision to enhance the driving experience and make it more enjoyable for Volvo customers. Prime Video and YouTube are great additions, especially for customers with children.
Chris Wailes, Managing Director of Volvo Car (Thailand) Limited, said.
“We are among the first carmakers in the world to offer Prime Video in our cars, and the application is available for download in all markets where Google application and services are available. Adding services such as Prime Video and YouTube to our cars bolsters the continuously growing list of software and applications to make lives better for our drivers.”
• Prime Video can be downloaded on the Google Play Store in Volvo cars.
• YouTube is automatically installed when the Over The Air (OTA) software update with Google built-in.
After the software version 2.11 upgrade, users will be able to access the Prime Video and YouTube applications on the XC40 Pure Electric, the C40 Pure Electric, the S90 Recharge Plug-in Hybrid, the XC60 Recharge Plug-in Hybrid (model 2022 onwards), the S60 Recharge Plug-in Hybrid, the V60 Recharge Plug-in Hybrid, and the XC90 Plug-in Hybrid (model 2023 onwards).
Volvo wants to make sure to minimise any safety issues so, access to video streaming will only be available when the car is stationary.
