Connecting the Volvo EX30 app to the vehicle

When you have received your EX30 vehicle, you can connect it to the Volvo EX30 app on your phone.

Connecting the app to the vehicle allows you to control certain functions and interact with your vehicle using your phone. The app will guide you through a few required steps in the app and in the vehicle's display.

Before you connect the app to your vehicle, you should complete the setup process described in .

Connecting the app to the vehicle

The vehicle must be connected to the internet. If your vehicle doesn't have a mobile internet connection, you can temporarily connect the vehicle to your phone's hotspot or any other Wi-Fi network via the vehicle's display.

  1. Sit in the driver's seat with your phone.
  2. Sign in to the Volvo EX30 app and go to the home tab.
  3. Select Connect your Volvo and follow the instructions in the app and the vehicle's display.

Note

When a QR code is shown in the vehicle's display, you need to allow the Volvo EX30 app to access your phone's camera. If you select Don't allow, you will not be able to scan the QR code. You can allow access to your camera at a later time in your phone's settings.

If you don't see a QR code during the connecting process, select My profile is already set up in the Volvo EX30 app and follow the instructions.
