Entering 2021 with a renewed commitment to its aftersales services, Volvo Car Malaysia has revised its warranty programme to a factory five-years/unlimited mileage for all privately owned Volvo cars* registered from 1 January 2021 onwards.
In previous years, Volvo car owners were entitled to the standard five-year/120,000km mileage warranty. Now with the introduction of the extended warranty, customers will be able to enjoy this at no additional cost, fully covered under the five-years/unlimited mileage warranty.
The revision of this warranty period will give customers peace of mind for five years from the date the car is delivered. All new Volvo car owners can expect their cars to receive a premium service experience done by Volvo’s trained technicians.

Is the 5-years/unlimited mileage factory warranty applicable for all Volvo cars?
The 5-years/unlimited mileage factory warranty is applicable ONLY for all privately-owned Volvo cars registered in Malaysia from 1 January 2021 onwards.
Is the 5-years/unlimited mileage factory warranty applicable for Volvo car registered under company names?
Yes, if it is registered for private use of staff/management. The 5-years/unlimited mileage factory warranty is not applicable for any commercial use.
When does the warranty period starts?
The warranty starts on the day the new Volvo car is delivered to the first retail customer and continues for five years.
What is covered under the 5-years/unlimited mileage factory warranty?
Details of warranty coverage can be found in the Volvo Car Service and Warranty Booklet that comes with every new Volvo cars.
What happens to the 5-years/unlimited mileage factory warranty in the event the Volvo Service Programme is not followed?
Non-adherence to the Volvo Service Programme will void the remaining warranty entitlement of the Volvo car. Please refer to the Volvo Car Service and Warranty Booklet for more information.
Is there any option to reinstate the revised warranty programme in the event the Volvo Service Programme is not followed?
There is no option to reinstate the revised warranty programme. Volvo car owners are advised to adhere to the Volvo Service Programmes and warranty terms and conditions as stated in the Volvo Car Service and Warranty Booklet.
