VOLVO CAR MALAYSIA “Selamat Family Season” (“CAMPAIGN”)
Campaign Terms and Conditions (“Campaign T&C”)
GENERAL
This Campaign is promoted by Volvo Car Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Registration No. 199901007530 (482430-K)) with business address at Lot 01-13A, 13A Floor, Menara Symphony, No, 5, Jalan Professor Khoo Kay Kim, Seksyen 13, 46200 Petaling Jaya, Selangor (“Volvo Car Malaysia”).
TERM
The Campaign will start on 20 April 2026 and will end on 30 June 2026 (“Campaign Period”).
ELIGIBILITY
The campaign is open to all individuals who:
(a) Are aged 18 years and above
(b) Hold a valid identification document (NRIC / Passport)
(c) Agree and adhere to the terms set out in Clause 5
(“Eligible Participant”)
A participant shall not be considered an Eligible Participant if he/she is:
(a) An employee of Volvo Car Malaysia, its affiliated companies, the agencies connected with the Campaign or Volvo Car Malaysia authorised dealers and its affiliated companies; and/or
(b) A household or an immediate family member to the persons stated in Clause 3.2.1. (defined as parents, siblings, children and spouse, regardless of where they live) or such other family member unless permitted by Volvo Car Malaysia in writing.
Volvo Car Malaysia reserves the right to verify that eligibility requirements are met and may require such further information or documents as it considers reasonably necessary for this purpose.
PRIZES
A total of ten (10) winners will be selected.
Each winner will receive one (1) hotel stay in Malaysia worth five thousand (5,000) Ringgit Malaysia.
The hotel stay is:
• Valid if booked before 31 December 2026, via a travel agency appointed by Volvo Car Malaysia.
• Worth up to five thousand (5,000) Ringgit Malaysia inclusive of all applicable taxes and fees. Any unused balance is not refundable.
• To be booked for a single stay only. The value cannot be spread across different stays.
• Non-transferable nor exchangeable for cash, cash equivalents, or products and services of similar value.
• Subject to terms imposed by Volvo Car Malaysia and its appointed travel agency.
HOW TO WIN
To participate in the Campaign, Eligible Participants must fulfil all of the following conditions :
(a) Purchase a new Volvo vehicle from any authorised Volvo Retailer showroom in Malaysia within the Campaign Period (20 April 2026 – 30 June 2026).
(b) Accept and sign the Vehicle Sales Order (“VSO”) and its terms and conditions within the Campaign Period.
(c) Collect the purchased vehicle by 31 July 2026.
(d) Post a creative photo or video of the purchased vehicle on either Facebook, Instagram, and/or TikTok, within the period of 20 April 2026 –31 July 2026, and:
• Include the hashtag #SelamatFamilySeason
• Tag @VolvoCarMalaysia
• Ensure the posting account is public (“Post”)
Only one (1) Post shall be accepted as one (1) entry for each Vehicle Sales Order. The Post must be original and must not include third-party owned material, be sexually explicit or offensive, contain commercial content, or violate any applicable laws or regulations.
By participating in the Campaign and submitting the Post, Eligible Participants agree to:
1. Grant Volvo Car Malaysia a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable, and sub-licensable right to publish, communicate, and reproduce the Post and any content created in relation to this Campaign in Volvo Car Malaysia’s social media channels (including but not limited to LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram) during the Term and for the following twenty-four (24) months from the commencement of the Campaign Period without notice or compensation; and,
2. Waive in favour of Volvo Car Malaysia and its sub-licensees all moral rights in the Comment and any content created in relation to this Campaign.
Volvo Car Malaysia will announce the winners of the hotel stay (“Winners”) on 21 August 2026 via Volvo Car Malaysia’s official social media platforms on Facebook, Instagram and/or TikTok. The Winners will have seven (7) days to provide Volvo Car Malaysia with the required contact information. Otherwise, Volvo Car Malaysia reserves the right to deem the prize forfeited, and award it to an alternate Winner.
In the event that the Winner does not fulfil the eligibility criteria of the Campaign T&C, Volvo Car Malaysia reserves the right to forfeit the prize, if already granted to that Winner, and award it to an alternate Winner as decided by Volvo Car Malaysia.
Volvo Car Malaysia shall have absolute discretion as to which Post wins the prize based on the creativity of the Post.
By participating in this Campaign, all social media content in relation to the Campaign produced and submitted by the participants to Volvo Car Malaysia shall be the property of Volvo Car Malaysia.
DATA PROTECTION
Volvo Car Malaysia will only use participants’ information to administer the Campaign. Volvo Car Malaysia will observe and comply with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and/or any regulations, rules, standards, or directions (including all the amendments made to the same from time to time) passed thereunder when it is processing the participants’ personal data.
By participating in this Campaign, participants acknowledge and consent to Volvo Car Malaysia collecting and processing their information. This includes disclosing their personal information to Volvo Car Malaysia’s preferred travel agency and their chosen accommodation provider. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, Volvo Car Malaysia (including its respective officers, employees, and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Campaign.
Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, Volvo Car Malaysia (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity) whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of:
a. All contents in relation to the Campaign (including all social media posts),
b. any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Volvo Car Malaysia’s control),
c. any theft, unauthorised access or third-party interference,
d. any variation in prize value to that stated in these Campaign T&C,
e. the supply or fulfilment of the prize by the accommodation provider selected or approved by the Winner; or
f. any tax liability incurred by a selected Eligible Participant or Winner.
MISCELLANEOUS
The prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Any change of dates to the accommodation is at the discretion of the accommodation provider. Each accommodation provider will have their own terms and conditions applicable to redemption of the prize.
Each Winner is responsible for any costs that may arise from or in connection with the redemption and use of the prize that is not included in the price of the accommodation booking. This includes, but is not limited to, travel costs, food and beverage, parking and other fees and expenses.
The Eligible Participant warrants all information provided by the Eligible Participant to Volvo Car Malaysia in relation to this Campaign is true and accurate.
Volvo Car Malaysia reserves the right to disqualify any participant from this Campaign if it has reason to believe that the Campaign T&C are not being observed.
Volvo Car Malaysia reserves the right to vary the Campaign T&C from time to time and/or to issue clarifications on the Campaign T&C should this be required, and such variations and clarifications shall be binding.
If any provision of the Campaign T&C is held invalid by any law, rule, order or regulation of any government, or by the final determination of any court of a competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the enforceability of any other provisions not held to be invalid.
The Campaign T&C, and all issues arising out of it shall be governed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the said territory.
By participating in this Campaign, all participants acknowledge and agree to be bound by the Campaign T&C.
