Performing a factory reset of a pre-owned car
If the previous owner of your car has not removed their profiles and connected phones, a factory reset of the car is needed. You can do this yourself via the car's centre display or ask the previous owner to do it via the Volvo Cars/Volvo EX30 app.
It is recommended to ask the previous owner to remove the car in the Volvo Cars/Volvo EX30 app. Removing the car in the app will initiate a factory reset of the car.Note
If you are selling your car and want to perform a factory reset via the Volvo Cars app[1], see Removing a car in the Volvo Cars app for more information.
The instructions for a factory reset vary depending on car model and model year, so make sure to read the section that applies to your car.
