Activating your wallbox account

After installation you'll need to activate your wallbox account. Here are steps on how to do that.

After your Volvo wallbox has been mounted by an electrician, they need to activate your wallbox account. You should have received an access letter that includes all the details needed for the electrician to perform this step. If you've lost the letter, contact Volvo support.

Note

It's important that the certified electrician activates your wallbox account and configures your wallbox. If for some reason an electrician mounted the wallbox without completing these steps, you will need to do this yourself. Contact Volvo support if you need assistance.

Here are the steps you'll need to follow to activate your wallbox.

Opening the wallbox web app

To log in to your wallbox account, you first need to open the wallbox web app. Make sure your wallbox is on.

1. Open your device's camera and scan the QR code on the access letter.

> A link will be displayed on your device's camera.

2. Press the link to connect to the wallbox network.

3. Press Join.

> Your device is now connected to the wallbox.

4. Open a browser on your device and enter the default IP address: 192.168.88.206.

> You will be warned that the connection is not private. This is only a browser limitation and is nothing to worry about.

5. Press Show details > Visit the website > Visit website. If you're using a laptop, you also need to press Advanced > Accept the Risk and Continue¹.

> You will be redirected to the wallbox installation page.

Setting up your wallbox account

  1. Select the preferred language.
  2. Log in using the Wi-Fi SSID and password on the access letter.
  3. Select the country where your wallbox is installed:
  4. Go to System Configuration > Basic Configuration > select City (or nearest City) and refresh the page.

> You have now successfully activated and set up your wallbox account. Press Go to overview to see your wallbox account page.

If you need to change any settings or re-configure your wallbox at a later date, see the related article regarding configuring your wallbox, for more information.
