Configuring your wallbox after activating your account
This guide will help you to change or update any configurations that need to be made to your wallbox.
After a certified electrician has activated your wallbox account, they need to log in and make additional configurations to your wallbox before you can start charging your car.
It's important that a certified electrician activates your wallbox account and configures your wallbox. If for some reason an electrician mounted the wallbox without completing these steps, you will need to do this yourself. Contact Volvo support if you need assistance.Note
After the initial configuration, if you need to change any settings you can follow the steps in this article to help you do that.
Opening the wallbox web app
To log in to your wallbox account, you first need to open the wallbox web app. Make sure your wallbox is on.
1. Open your device's camera and scan the QR code on the access letter.
> A link will be displayed on your device's camera.
2. Press the link to connect to the wallbox network > Join.
> Your device is now connected to the wallbox.
3. Open a web browser on the device and enter the default IP address: 192.168.88.206.
> You will be warned that the connection is not private. This is only a browser limitation and is nothing to worry about.
4. Press on the hostname or press Enter > Show details > Visit this website > Visit website. If you're using a laptop, you also need to press Advanced > Accept the Risk and Continue¹.
Once you've opened the web app you need to log in using the Web App Password on the access letter. If you've changed the password log in using that instead.
Connecting to Wi‑Fi and LTE
- Wi‑Fi: Press the menu symbol > Network Configurations > select Edit on STA Mode Config Parameter > and enter your home’s Wi-Fi network and password.
> After applying these changes, ensure that DHCP is enabled and restart the network.
Ensure the installer has inserted the SIM card in the wallbox and you have an active data plan.Note
- LTE: Press the menu symbol > Network Configurations > Cellular Configuration > put status in enable mode > Edit APN to internet.cxn > click Save and Restart Network.
Your wallbox should now be successfully connected to your Wi-Fi network and LTE.
Completing your wallbox setup
Before you start using your wallbox it's recommended to check for any errors or faults that may have occurred during the installation process. After a successful installation there shouldn't be any errors, but if there are, they will be listed here.
- Press the menu symbol > System Status > General².
- If there are errors listed, press the error name for more details.
If you need to contact Volvo support, you’ll need to have your wallbox serial number. You can find this either on your access letter or on the wallbox side panel under the QR code.
