Heater
The heater has two sub-functions that help heat the passenger compartment and battery in various situations.
The heater has two sub-functions:
- Parking heater - heats the passenger compartment as needed when the parking climate's preconditioning is activated.
- Auxiliary heater - heats the passenger compartment while driving.
The heater is a high-voltage coolant heater and is mounted in the front right-side wheel housing.
Battery and charging
The heater is powered by the vehicle's high-voltage battery. If the charge level in the high-voltage battery is too low, the heater will switch off automatically and a message will be displayed in the instrument panel.
Note
Make sure that the battery has sufficient charge if the heater must be used.
