Operating the trunk lid with a foot movement*
To make it easier to access the trunk when your hands are full, the trunk lid can be opened by making a foot movement* under the rear bumper.

One of the vehicle's keys must be in range behind the vehicle, within about 1 meter (3 feet), for activation to be possible. This also applies when the vehicle is unlocked.
Opening the trunk lid with a foot movement

Kicking motion within the sensor's activation area. Make one forward kicking motion with your foot under the left section of the rear bumper. Take a step back. Do not touch the bumper.A brief audible signal will sound when opening is activated – the trunk lid will open/close.
If several opening attempts have been made without the key in range behind the vehicle, foot movement operation will not be available for a short period of time.
Do not keep your foot under the vehicle in a kicking motion. This may prevent activation.
The trunk lid is closed by pressing it down manually.
Please note that the system could be inadvertently activated in a car wash if the key is within range.Note
