Driving journal with the Volvo Cars app

The Volvo Cars app can automatically create a drive log which allows you to view a summary of your vehicle journeys. The data is visible from all the accounts connected to the vehicle.

Registration of trip information

The trip information is sent to the Volvo Cars app 30-60 seconds after the vehicle key has been removed. If you restart the engine within this time to continue driving, the journey that was in progress before the engine was switched off continues. In case of longer stops, e.g. refueling at a fuel station, two trips will be logged. You have the possibility to merge multiple trips into one via the app.

The trip information can be downloaded and saved in Excel, a useful function if, for example, you use the vehicle as a company car.

Viewing the driving journal

The Volvo Cars app stores information about the trips you have made in your vehicle over the last 100 days. You can see a summary of your trips in Driving journal in the Px-2037-VOC app icon Car tab.

The following information about vehicle trips is shown in the app:

  • Title
  • Category
  • Note
  • Route (with start and stop positions)
  • Time
  • Distance
  • Fuel consumption
  • Started (time the trip began)
  • Ended (time the trip finished)
  • Odometer reading
