Automatic transmission
The automatic transmission has 8 forward gears and shifts up or down based on the level of acceleration, speed and engine speed (measured in revolutions per minute - rpm). Manual shifting is also possible. The gear indicator in the instrument panel shows the gear currently being used or gear shift mode.
The transmission’s temperature is monitored to help prevent damage to the transmission or other drivetrain components. If there is a risk of overheating, the warning symbol on the instrument panel will illuminate and a text message will be displayed. Follow the instructions provided there.Important
