A New Era for Volvo Retail in Ireland

Following a comprehensive two-year review, Volvo Car Ireland has established an optimised network of strategic retail partners across the country. Supported by a collective investment of €40 million, the new network is designed to enhance the customer experience, support growing demand for electric vehicles, and drive Volvo Car Ireland's ambition to increase sales by 50% between 2025 and 2030, while achieving a 15% share of Ireland's premium car market.

Investing in the Future of Volvo in Ireland

As the automotive industry continues its transition towards electrification, Volvo Car Ireland is evolving its retail network to ensure customers continue to receive the highest standards of service, expertise and support. The updated network brings together retail partners who share a common vision for the future of the Volvo brand in Ireland.

This transformation is backed by a collective €40 million investment that will help redefine the customer journey, from vehicle purchase through to ownership and aftersales care. It also reflects Volvo's long-term commitment to the Irish market as the brand prepares to celebrate its global centenary in 2027.

A Reimagined Customer Experience

At the heart of this investment is the development of a new generation of premium showroom lounges across Ireland. Inspired by Scandinavian design, these spaces have been created to offer a more welcoming, comfortable and personal experience for customers.

Designed around the way people shop for cars today, the new retail environments will provide a relaxed setting where customers can explore Volvo's range of fully electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, receive expert guidance and enjoy a seamless experience from first visit to vehicle handover.

Development has already commenced at Volvo Cars Sligo, while construction on the new Volvo Cars North Dublin site is expected to begin later this year. Upgrade works across the wider network will continue over the coming years.

Supporting Ireland's Electric Future

This transformation comes during a period of significant growth for electric vehicles in Ireland. In the first half of 2026, EV sales increased by 48%, compared with 4% growth across the wider Irish automotive market. As demand for electrified vehicles continues to accelerate, Volvo Car Ireland is evolving its retail network to support future growth and deliver an enhanced customer experience across the country.

As Volvo Cars continues its transformation into a fully electric car manufacturer, every aspect of the business is evolving to make life simpler, safer and more sustainable. These new retail destinations represent an important part of that journey, bringing together innovative products, premium experiences and the human-centred design principles that have defined Volvo for nearly a century.

Built around People

Everything Volvo Cars does starts with people. Since 1927, safety has been at the core of the brand, and today that commitment extends to sustainability, innovation and creating products that make everyday life easier.
Our purpose is to provide freedom to move in a personal, sustainable and safe way. Through a deep understanding of human needs and behaviour, Volvo Cars continues to develop vehicles and experiences designed to support and protect people, while helping shape a more sustainable future for mobility.
