Cruise control

When driving with cruise control^[1] active, you set a driving speed. The car then manages acceleration and braking to meet that set speed.

When using cruise control, you are still responsible for maintaining focus and driving safely. The speed-keeping features exist to support you, but the responsibility of safe driving practice still lies with the driver.

Driving conditions

Assessing cruise control's performance requires that you take all driving, traffic, weather or road conditions into consideration. You are responsible for maintaining a speed that is safe for the current road and traffic conditions.

Driver readiness

Using a speed-keeping feature can result in long periods of you not using the pedals. However, you must remain prepared and ready to brake or accelerate manually if necessary. Avoid changing your driving posture in ways that can delay your response time.

Before using cruise control

Take the time to read everything the manual has to say about cruise control before using it.

Activation and set speed

You control activation, deactivation and the set speed with the steering wheel buttons:

	Activate and deactivate cruise control
	Increase the set speed
	Decrease the set speed

When cruise control is active, the set speed appears next to the speedometer and the cruise control symbol is shown in the driver display.

Warning

Cruise control is a supplement to safe driving practices. It does not reduce or replace the need for the driver to stay attentive and focused on driving safely. Drive the car with the same attention to safety as required by a car without the cruise control feature.

Car faults

Certain car faults can affect the availability of driver support features. Check the car status view for indicated issues if cruise control is unavailable.

Car alterations
