Volvo wallbox
Information about the Volvo wallbox, installation requirements, charging capabilities, and how to use it with the Volvo Cars app.
The Volvo wallbox can be used with the Volvo Cars app where you can, among other things set charging schedules to charge you car or allow others to use it when you’re not home.
The Volvo wallbox can be installed both inside and outside and can be purchased at your local Volvo Cars retailer.
Volvo wallbox
The Volvo Wallbox available can be used for 3-phase Alternating current charging.
Your wallbox requires an internet connection to charge your car. This can be done via Wi-Fi, ethernet cable, or mobile data by inserting a SIM card into the wallbox's SIM card slot.
Your Volvo wallbox must be mounted by a certified electrician. It's recommended that the electrician is a certified Volvo installation partner. This will be organised by your Volvo dealer when purchasing a wallbox.Note
Volvo Cars app
You can connect the Volvo Cars app to your wallbox using your Volvo ID.
In the Volvo Cars app you can:
- See the status of your wallbox.
- Check the charging history.
- Start, stop and schedule charging.
- Select the charging speed (amp limit).
- Restrict wallbox access to provide extra security.
