1. The Lost in Forks Online Game is subject to the following conditions and is open only to UK residents who are aged 18 years or over. 2. PROMOTION DESCRIPTION: The “LOST IN FORKS Promotion” (the “Promotion”) is a skill-based online competition that will take place in the U.K. in support of the film The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (the “Picture”). Eligible individuals who participate in the Promotion (hereinafter, “Entrants”), will be required to use deductive reasoning to get to the Cullen’s House in the lowest number of forks. The Promotion will consist of two (2) phases: the first phase and the final phase (collectively, the “Phases”). The first phase will begin on 22nd June 2010 and end at 11.59pm on the 20th August 2010 (“First Phase”). The final phase will begin on the 1st September 2010 10:00am and end on the 2nd September 2010 11.59 pm (“Final Phase”). The Entrant will be required to register for the Promotion, once an Entrant completes the First Phase, and his/her number of forks will be recorded for the First Phase. The Entrants who tie for the lowest number of forks will advance to the Final Phase. Those Entrants that participate in the Final Phase in and after viewing the presented scene and answer all three (3) questions about the scene correctly in the shortest amount of time will be deemed the Grand Prize winner. There is only one Grand Prize Winner. The volvocars.com/lostinforks database clock will be the Official Time Keeper for the Promotion. On or about 26th August 2010, the Volvo Car UK Ltd. will determine the Entrants who will advance to the Final Phase. Those Entrants, who complete the First Phase with the lowest number of forks, as determined by Volvo Car UK Ltd. in its sole discretion, will be deemed “Finalists” and will advance to the Final Phase. Finalist status is subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules. Volvo Car UK Ltd. reserves the right not to advance any Entrants to the Final Phase if, in its sole discretion, it determines that no Entrant has reached the Cullen House. In the event that only one (1) eligible Entrant reaches the Cullen’s House, with the shortest amount of forks, that Entrant shall be declared the Grand Prize winner. Notification of Finalists: ALL OF THOSE ENTRANTS WHO ARE FINALISTS WILL BE SENT AN INVITATION, VIA EMAIL AROUND THE 26th AUGUST CONGRATULATING THEM AND GIVING THEM THE 38 HOUR WINDOW DURING WHICH TIME THEY MUST GO TO THE WEBSITE SPECIFIED IN THE INVITATION TO PLAY THE FINAL PHASE TO BE CONSIDERED TO WIN THE GRAND PRIZE. Final Phase & Determination of Grand Prize Winner: During the Final Phase, Finalists will be required to go to a website (details of the website to be supplied to finalists), log in and follow the directions provided to) view the scene and answer the three (3) final questions about the scene, in the shortest amount of time. The Finalist who completes the Final Phase in the shortest amount of time will be deemed the Grand Prize winner. The time for the Final Phase commences as soon as the finalist logs in to the site. The Finalist can only log in once to complete the Final Phase - any further attempts to complete the Final Phase will not be considered. Grand Prize winner status is subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules. NOTIFICATION OF THE GRAND PRIZE WINNER: The Grand Prize winner will be notified by telephone or post within 7 days of the closing date of the competition. 3. In the Event of a Tie in the Final Phase: In the event of a tie, the Finalist who completed the First Phase with the shortest amount of forks to reach Cullen House will be deemed the Grand Prize winner. 4. Employees of Volvo Car UK Limited, their dealers, printers and agents or anyone connected with the Promotion and their families or employees are not eligible to take part. 5. The prize is one Volvo XC60 or one Volvo of the winner’s choice worth no more than £30,000. Should the winner’s chosen car have a recommended retail price in excess of £30,000 the winner may pay the excess over £30,000 to obtain their chosen car. The vehicle must be registered in the UK. The winner will be able to specify the internal and external colour of the car, subject to availability. 6. The prize winner will be responsible for making their own arrangements for insurance, road tax and maintenance of the Volvo. 7. There is no cash alternative and the prize is not transferable. 8. Volvo Car UK Ltd reserves the right to check the validity of any entry. Entries failing to comply with these rules will not be accepted. 9. No purchase necessary. 10. Only one entry per person. 11. Volvo Car UK Limited is the promoter. 12. Volvo Car UK reserves the right to offer the prize to other entrants should a winner be unable, for any reason, to accept the prize. 13. If circumstances dictate, Volvo Car UK reserves the right to change the prize offered. 14. In the event of a dispute the decision by Volvo Car UK is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered in to. 15. The winner may be required to take part in publicity (including photographs). 16. To request the name and county of the winner, please send a stamped, addressed envelope to Lost in Forks Promotion, Marketing Dept., Volvo Car UK Limited, Globe Park, Marlow, Buckinghamshire SL7 1YQ after 15th September 2010. No other correspondence will be entered into concerning the Lost in Forks Promotion. 17. Entry to the competition is acceptance to these rules 18. Volvo Car UK Ltd is not liable for lost, damaged or incomplete entries to both phases of the competition and any finalist not receiving the email inviting them to participate in the final phase. 19. Volvo Car UK Ltd has the right to disqualify any entrant from either phase of the competition if they breach the rules. 20. Once registered online, participants can have as many attempts playing phase 1 of the lostinforks game until 11.59pm on the 20th August, when phase 1 finishes.

Just like The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, this puzzle is all about choice. You start off in the

centre of Forks

and then have to get to the

Cullen House

in the shortest number of steps, by successfully navigating a series of forks. Each fork provides you with one or more clues to help you choose your path. These clues directly relate to the Twilight Saga characters and story. It’s up to you to decide what each clue means and where they might take you. But be careful, some clues can be quite misleading. There are many ways to the Cullen House but only one is the shortest route. Find it and you could be invited to take part in a special final phase, for the chance to win a shiny new Volvo XC60, just like Edward’s.

Q: I’m lost, what do I do?

Try checking the Forks tickertape at the bottom of the screen. Perhaps you’ll find a clue.

Q: How do I discuss a fork?

When you mouseover FORKS LIVE, it will say “Discuss this fork”, click on this and a dialogue box will pop up where you can enter your message. You can also read other players’ comments about that fork.

Q: Do I need to be connected to Facebook to leave a message?

Yes you do. You can read the messages without being connected but if you want to leave a message, you will need to sign into your Facebook account.

Q: Once I’ve chosen a direction can I go back?

You can only use the back button when you’re at one of the special locations. Pressing the back button will take you to the previous fork.

Q: How do I find the Easter eggs?

The hidden bonuses are found in the special locations, such as Bella’s house, Jacob’s house, and some more spots that you will discover as you play. To reveal them you need to click on a certain “hotspot” within that screen.

Q: Can I save my progress in the game?

The game does not save or store your progress. Each time you enter, you will start from the beginning.

Q: What happens if I close my browser?

If you leave the website by closing the tab or browser, all game information will be lost.

Q: Is there a time limit?

There isn’t an official time limit. You simply have to get to the Cullen House in the shortest number of forks and submit your entry by August 20, 23:59 BST. Succeed and you could be invited to enter the final phase.

Q: How will I know if I’ve found the shortest route?

You won’t know until after the closing date. All eligible players who successfully find and submit the shortest route by August 20, 23:59 BST will receive an email on or around August 26, inviting them to take part in the final phase.

Q: Can I submit multiple entries?

You can submit as many entries as you like until the competition closing date. In the case of the final phase you will only be able to submit once.

Q: What will happen in the end game?

The final phase will be revealed on Wednesday September 1, 10:00 BST. when “Lost in Forks” will be opened up again one last time, exclusively for finalists. They will have until Thursday September 2, 23:59 BST to complete a final challenge. The player who achieves this in the shortest time (starting from when they press enter) and within the deadline, wins. And could drive away in a shiny new Volvo XC60, just like Edward’s.
