Performing a factory reset of your car

If you have a pre-owned car and the previous user has not removed their profiles and phones are still paired, a factory reset is recommended.

This article is applicable to models with Google built-in.

 Note

A factory reset will remove any phones paired with your car, reset the car to factory values and remove all data and settings stored in the car.
In the centre display, swipe down from the top to reach the notification centre.
Press the currently used profile icon in the top left of the display.
Select the owner profile (the first profile created).
Go to iCup-2037-Settings symbol > System > Reset options > Erase all data (factory reset) > Factory reset.
The car is now reset to the factory values. Follow the instructions in the centre display to pair your phone with the car.
