RICHMOND HILL, ON (January 15, 2026) – Volvo Cars Canada returns to the Montreal International Auto Show (MIAS), showcasing its latest lineup of premium vehicles and marking the Canadian auto show debut of the Volvo EX30 Cross Country, the brand’s most compact SUV designed for added versatility and confidence.

Making its first appearance at a Canadian auto show, the Volvo EX30 Cross Country builds on the success of Volvo’s compact electric SUV, offering customers a new way to experience electric driving with enhanced capability. Designed for those who want big adventure from a small electric SUV, the EX30 Cross Country reflects Volvo’s commitment to thoughtful Scandinavian design, everyday usability, and advanced safety.
The EX30 Cross Country features a range of bespoke design elements that enhance both character and capability, including a raised chassis, front and rear skid plates and distinctive black exterior graphics. Compact in size but bigger in impact, the EX30 Cross Country pairs Scandinavian minimalism with rugged confidence, while delivering the advanced safety technologies found across the Volvo lineup.
Quebec continues to be an important market for Volvo Cars Canada, particularly as the brand advances its electrification strategy. The Montreal Auto Show provides a key opportunity to support the commercial launch of the EX30 Cross Country in Canada.
“Quebec is a key market for us as we continue to expand our electrified portfolio,” said Matt Girgis, Managing Director, Volvo Cars Canada. “The EX30 Cross Country brings together the design, safety and versatility our customers expect from Volvo, in a compact electric SUV well suited to a wide range of lifestyles. It matches the urban practicality and true off-road confidence that Quebecers are looking for”.
The Montreal International Auto Show will take place at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, opening to the public from January 16 to 25, 2026. Show attendees can experience the Volvo display throughout the event, where the EX30 Cross Country will be showcased alongside a selection of Volvo’s electrified and mild hybrid vehicles, including: EX30, EX40, XC40, XC60, XC90 and Volvo’s Safety Cage Display.
