Setting up public charging in the Volvo Cars app
Connect your Volvo ID to ChargePoint to access public charging in the Volvo Cars app.
For cars with Google built-in: In the Volvo Cars app, tap the
icon to get started.For cars with the earlier infotainment system (Sensus): In the Volvo Cars app, tap the lightning icon to get started.
- Click and read through the introduction screens.
- When prompted to connect your Volvo ID with ChargePoint, enter your Volvo ID password. If you need to reset your password to your Volvo ID, go to volvoid.eu.volvocars.com/Account. Select your market and language, click Log in and Forgot password.
- After entering the Volvo ID, you will be asked to type in your ChargePoint login information. If there is an existing ChargePoint account that matches your Volvo ID, enter that e-mail address. If there is not, a ChargePoint e-mail address will be created.
- After your Volvo ID is connected to ChargePoint, add your payment method. Visa and American Express are both accepted.
