Approval of terms and conditions and data collection
You will see messages about different terms and conditions and data collection[1] in the center display. Your agreement is necessary for certain apps and services to work properly.
The first time you use your vehicle, a guide opens in the center display to assist you in making various settings. In connection with the guide, you are prompted to consent to different types of terms and conditions and the collection of information. You can do this later in privacy settings as well.
You may also need to give your consent, for example, when you:
- Use an app or service for the first time.
- Add a new profile.
- Delete a profile.
- Change the ownership.
- Reset the settings.
Accept privacy settings
- Press the vehicle symbol
in the bottom bar and go to Settings. - Go to Privacy.
- Select the privacy setting you want to change and follow the instructions in the center display.

Before using the internet
The terms of use must be accepted once per vehicle in order to use the internet.
Vehicle location sharing
Give your consent for the vehicle to be able to share its location. This is necessary if you want to use certain apps and functions. For example, location sharing is required for remote vehicle services via Volvo Assistance and the mobile app for the vehicle, such as Find My Vehicle and the Trips app.[2]
