The system can calculate a suitable route and indicate your vehicle's position in relation to the route on the map. If you deviate from your planned route, the system automatically recalculates the route and guides you to your destination. In addition to map information, symbols for selected points of interest (POI) will also be displayed.

This feature will not function in areas where the vehicle is unable to connect to the Internet.

If the Internet connection is weak or is interrupted, route calculation will not function correctly and certain map scales may not be available, depending on the amount of map information that was buffered before the connection was broken.

Volvo offers a full-scale navigation system (Sensus Navigation) that utilizes harddisk-based maps, voice guidance, advanced route calculation including traffic information, Internet search functionality and the capacity to select intermediate destinations. Contact your Volvo retailer to upgrade to Sensus Navigation. This upgrade will replace Internet map.

Internet map provides information that guides you to your destination. However, all of the recommended guidance is not always reliable, since situations may arise that are outside the capacity and judgement of the navigation system, such as sudden changes in the weather.
