Rear fog lights

The rear fog lights are considerably brighter than the normal taillights and should be used only when conditions such as fog, rain, snow, smoke or dust reduce visibility for other vehicles to less than 500 ft. (150 meters).

The rear fog lights can only be used when:

  • the ignition is in mode II or if the engine is running and the left-side steering wheel lever's thumb wheel is in the P5-1707 Symbol AUTO or P5-1507 Symbol low beam position
  • the thumb wheel is in the P5-1507 Symbol position light position and the front fog lights are on

Press the button to turn the fog lights on/off. The rear fog light indicator symbol P5-1507 Symbol rear foglight in the instrument panel illuminates when the rear fog lights are switched on.

The rear fog lights switch off automatically when:

  • the start knob is turned to STOP or when the light switch is turned to the P5-1507 Symbol zero (light)
  • the thumb wheel is in the P5-1507 Symbol position light position and the front fog lights are turned off
