Use Send to Car

Send to Car makes it possible to send map destinations to your Volvo via the Volvo Cars app on the markets in which Volvo On Call is available. To use this feature, your car must be equipped with Sensus Navigation.

Send destination to the vehicle

 Note

Starting in February 2020, it will no longer be possible to send map destinations from websites to the vehicle.

To send the destination to the vehicle, follow the instructions below for the app.

Instructions for the Volvo Cars app1

In your smartphone: Open the Volvo Cars app and login using your Volvo ID.
In your smartphone: Open the "Send destination" function.
In your smartphone: Search for a destination and select a search result.
In your smartphone: Select "Send destination to vehicle".
The destination is sent to the navigation system in your vehicle.
In the vehicle a symbol lights on the center display that shows that a destination/position has been sent to your vehicle. Click on the symbol to see information and possible options.

  • Vehicle model/model year
  • XC90 and XC90 Twin Engine/Recharge Plug-in Hybrid of model years 2016 to 2022.

  • S90, V90 and V90 Cross Country of model years 2017 to 2021.

  • XC60, XC60 Twin Engine/Recharge Plug-in Hybrid, V90 Twin Engine/Recharge Plug-in Hybrid and S90 Twin Engine/Recharge Plug-in Hybrid of model years 2018 to 2021.

  • XC40 from model year 2018 onward.

  • V60, V60 Twin Engine/Recharge Plug-in Hybrid, V60 Cross Country, S60, S60 Twin Engine/Recharge Plug-in Hybrid of model years 2019 to 2022.

  • XC40 Twin Engine/Recharge Plug-in Hybrid from model year 2020 onward.

  • Model range may vary from market to market.
