If you're going to leave your car but want to continue heating the passenger compartment, you can start preconditioning without a timer. This can be useful if you're just leaving your car for a short while and want to come back to a warm car.
Warning
Do not use preconditioning if the car is:
- Indoors in unventilated spaces. Exhaust emissions are produced when the heater is started.
- In locations with flammable materials nearby, such as fuel, gas, long grass and sawdust.
- At risk of a blocked heater exhaust pipe.
Tip
If you want to heat the passenger compartment before your drive, you can also quickly start the preconditioning via the app.
Press the fan symbol in the bottom bar

Press Start to activate preconditioning.
Press Stop to turn it off.
Note
Parking climate stays active until the maximum running time is reached unless you press Stop.
