Heaters

If the ambient temperature is lower than the temperature you prefer in your car, the heating system can help provide a comfortable interior climate.

Parking heater

The parking heater uses fuel from the car's fuel tank. It is used to heat the passenger compartment during preconditioning.

 Warning

If the heater is not switched off when refuelling, spilt fuel can ignite. Always turn off the heater before starting to refuel.

 Note

Make sure that the car has a sufficient amount of fuel when the parking heater is used. If the fuel level in the car is too low, the heater will switch off.

If parked on a steep hill when the parking heater is used, make sure the car is pointing downhill. This should help ensure there is a supply of fuel to the heater.

Auxiliary heater

The auxiliary heater uses fuel from the car's fuel tank. It starts and is controlled automatically when heating is required while the car is being driven. It switches off automatically when the car is turned off.
