This summer, Volvo Car UK is transforming family road trips into engaging, stress-free journeys with Roadside Nature – an initiative designed to keep kids entertained while helping parents drive safely.

Volvo Car UK has teamed up with the Eden Project and wildlife expert Steve Backshall to launch the Roadside Nature campaign - helping families rediscover the joy of the journey.
Let’s face it - family road trips aren’t always smooth sailing. A new study shows over half of UK parents feel anxious about long drives with kids, and nearly one in five drivers has had a minor bump thanks to backseat distractions. Between seatbelt escapes, snack demands and sibling squabbles, it’s no wonder some parents would rather stay home and clean the bathroom than hit the motorway.
But what if the roadside could be the best part of the ride?
That’s where Volvo Car UK’s free Roadside Nature Activity Pack comes in - designed to turn every traffic jam into a treasure hunt. Packed with fun, educational and screen-free activities, it keeps kids curious and calm, while giving grown-ups a little peace and quiet up front.
