BIOGRAPHY
Jan Gurander was born in 1961 in the town Mjölby, Sweden.
After graduating from the Stockholm School of Economics, Jan Gurander began his career in 1986 initially as a portfolio manager at the capital management company Robur in Stockholm.
In 1990, he moved to Investor AB heading up various departments within the Treasury section. Between 1991 and 1999, he held several senior positions in Scania's financial division. Between 2000 and 2001, he worked with AB Volvo as head of Business Unit Finance. He returned to Scania in April 2001 as a member of its Executive Board and CFO. Since January 2007, Jan Gurander has worked as an advisor for various Swedish companies.
Between 2008 and 2010, he was CFO and member of the Executive Board of MAN Diesel SE.
Between 2010 and 2011, he held the same function for MAN Diesel & Turbo SE. He was also responsible for two business units during that period.
Jan Gurander did his military service as an officer on submarines for a year in the Swedish Royal Navy. He is an alumnus and reserve officer of the Swedish Royal Navy College.
