Using a distance-capable EX30 key tag as a key card
Your distance-capable EX30 key tag has NFC[1] functionality. So, if your distance-capable key has a low or discharged battery, it can be used in the same way as a key card.
Note
- The location of the exterior key reader is marked with a symbol on the pillar between the front and rear doors on the driver's side.
- The interior key reader is located between the front seats.
- To unlock the car, hold the key tag over the exterior key reader with the Volvo logo facing you.
- Place the tag on the interior key reader with the Volvo logo facing upwards to use the car.
- Lock the car by holding the key tag over the exterior key reader with the Volvo logo facing you.
