Sharing your car
You can share your car with other drivers, as long as they're named on a the insurance policy. Remember that you're responsible for ensuring all drivers comply with the terms of your agreement. Learner drivers with a valid provisional licence can use the car for non-commercial driving practice.
Transporting pets in your car
You can transport pets in your car, but you'll be responsible for any damage they might cause, such as tears in the upholstery. You can purchase a pet package with protective accessories for selected models for safer pet transport.
Driving abroad
You can make short trips within Western Europe without special permissions. You'll need to get written approval from Volvo Car Financial Services UK for journeys longer than a month, destinations outside Western Europe, or if you want to permanently move the car to another country.

If you experience a breakdown, press the assist button in your car to connect with Volvo Assistance. They'll organise the help you need.
- Report any break-ins, thefts or collisions to the police immediately.
- Contact your insurance provider to report the incident.
- Use an authorised Volvo workshop for repairs.
