You can return your online car purchase within 14 days of delivery.

How to return your car

If you bought your car online, you can withdraw from your purchase within 14 days after receiving your car. Follow these steps:

  1. Send a formal withdrawal notice within 14 days using one of the following options:
  2. Return the car to the same retailer where you received it within 14 days of your notice.
  3. Include all original equipment, parts, accessories and documents.

Important

As the buyer, you must return the car yourself. Others cannot return it for you.

Inspection process

When you arrive at the Volvo retailer, your car will be inspected for mileage, wear and tear, damage and missing items. You'll receive a report within 4 weeks after returning the car.

Refund conditions

You have the right to a full refund under the following circumstances:

  • The car has not been driven more than 250 miles when returned.
  • The car has no signs of wear and tear or damage and no missing items.
  • The car hasn't changed owners since delivery.

If these conditions aren't met, you will be deducted:

  • 45p for each mile driven over 250 miles.
  • Repair costs for damage and replacement costs for missing items.

If the car has changed owners, your right to withdraw will be denied.

Note

Remember to remove all personal belongings from the car before returning your car.
