Tracking your car order

Depending on how you ordered your car, you can track the order online or using the Volvo Cars app.

Tracking options

There are two ways to track your car order:

  • Volvo Cars app - The primary method for tracking your order. Once your car has been assigned a unique vehicle identification number (VIN) during construction, you can track its progress through the app.
  • Online profile - If you ordered your car online, you can also track your order by signing in with your Volvo ID at volvocars.com/uk/account/overview.

Order tracking stages

Your order will progress through these stages:

  • Order approved
  • Waiting for production
  • Production complete
  • Car delivery in progress
  • Preparing for handover
  • Car delivered

Note

Delivery dates are estimates and may change due to various factors. Your retailer will keep you informed of any changes to your expected delivery date.

Troubleshooting tracking issues

  • If your order doesn't appear in the app:
    • It may be pending approval or processing
    • Retailer information might need updating
  • If your order disappears from the app:
    • It might be a temporary technical issue
    • The order status could be updating

Tip

If you experience tracking issues, try reinstalling the app and waiting 24 hours. If problems persist, contact your retailer for the most up-to-date information.

Fleet orders and business leases

For fleet orders and business leases, your account must be verified before tracking becomes available. Your retailer will provide updates during this process.

Motability orders

Motability orders are handled through a separate process and not connected to your individual account.

Important

If you've ordered through Motability or a lease company, please contact them directly for order updates, as these orders cannot be tracked through the Volvo Cars app.
