Taking delivery of your Volvo
You can collect your new Volvo from your preferred Volvo retailer or have it delivered to your home.
Arranging delivery
Once you've completed the order process, you'll be able to select your preferred delivery option.
When your car is ready, your retailer will contact you to arrange a convenient handover date. Ready-to-purchase cars are typically delivered within 30 days after confirming your order.
While waiting, you can track your order's progress through the Volvo Cars app.
What you'll need
When collecting or taking delivery of your car, you'll need to provide:
- A valid driving licence.
- A current passport or other valid official photo ID.
- Insurance documentation for your car, either from your own insurance provider or Volvo Insurance.
- Proof of your current address if your driving licence doesn't show this (for example, a utility bill issued within the past three months).
Note
Only the person who placed the order can receive the car.
If you don't have a valid photo ID, contact Volvo support for more information.
What happens before delivery
Before you take delivery of your car, it will undergo a pre-delivery inspection that includes checking for any transit damage and ensuring that all software is fully updated.
Your number plate and any ordered accessories will be fitted and delivered with your car.Note
