Intelligent Speed Assist (ISA)

Intelligent Speed Assist (ISA) is a new driver support feature that can help you avoid unintentional speeding. With the ISA feature, your car can alert you with a sound if you overspeed while driving on a road with a known speed limit. You can adjust the feature to gradually reduce the response from the accelerator pedal, thereby replacing the sound alerts. These responses can help nudge you down to the current speed limit.

 Note

Your car is designed to meet the requirements of the European Union's Intelligent Speed Assistance regulation. The purpose of the regulation is to make driving safer by requiring features that encourage staying within the speed limit.

If you overspeed on a road with an identified speed limit, the car can warn you of this with a sound alert along with a flashing speed limit symbol. The duration and number of replays of the sound alerts depend on your driving behaviour. The alerts stop once you slow down. You can temporarily deactivate the alerts using the left-hand side steering wheel button.

You can replace the warning sound with adaptive pedal response in the centre display.
In the centre display, go to iCup-2037-Settings symbol.
Select Driver support > Intelligent Speed Assist.
Activate Adaptive pedal response.

When adaptive pedal response is active, you can override it by pressing harder on the accelerator.

 Note

The warning sound cannot be replaced by adaptive pedal response when Pilot Assist or Adaptive Cruise Control is used.
