Portsmouth, UK
Portsmouth has deep ties to the race, serving as the start and finish port in 1973 when the Whitbread Round the World Race (now The Ocean Race, formerly Volvo Ocean Race) was born. The city has remained a frequent host throughout the race's history.
This time, the Ocean Live Park will welcome visitors with family activities, engaging and educational ocean health activities and content and activations showcasing the extraordinary achievements of the sailors and teams in the Race.
The Ocean Live Park will be open from August 14 to 17, with leg 2 starting in Cowes following a parade of sail from Portsmouth. Visitors to the Volvo Studio will be invited to explore our latest electric models – the EX90 and EX30.
Join us at the Volvo Studio on Saturday afternoon, 16th August, for an inspiring panel talk hosted by Scientist, Filmmaker, Wildlife host and Volvo Car UK ambassador, Lizzie Daly, alongside special guests. Dive into a passionate conversation about the ocean, its protection, the power of partnerships, sustainable technology, and innovation. Don’t miss this free event - we would love to see you there.
