Connected services abroad

This article describes how the car's connected services work when you are driving abroad.

Available functions if you are driving in a different country

Examples of possible scenarios:

  • In countries where cars with connected services are sold, you have full function. The ON CALL button calls Volvo support in your home market1.
  • If you drive into a country where cars with connected services are not sold, the ON CALL button calls Volvo support in the home market, and the SOS button calls the local emergency number.
  • If you drive into a country where cars with connected services are not sold, the app services are only available where Volvo has a roaming agreement with a network operator.
  • In countries outside Europe where cars with connected services are not sold, the automatic collision warning system or the function for the SOS button are not available. The ON CALL button, the app, stolen vehicle tracking and automatic theft notification are not available in these countries either. You will however be able to unlock your car by calling Volvo support and requesting a remote door unlock.
  1. 1 For certain markets, services linked to Volvo support are restricted. For more information on functions in your market, contact a local Volvo dealer or Volvo support.
