The 11.2-inch centre display serves as your command centre. Check traffic. Switch drive modes. Queue up the next song. All on a touchscreen that delivers crystal-clear visuals, even in bright sun.

Every aspect of the display is designed to keep your attention on the road. The vertical layout shows more of what’s ahead as you navigate. Contextual shortcuts pop up as you need them, like the 360° camera with 3D view when you’re parking. And the most-used controls stay fixed at the bottom of the screen, always within easy reach.

Get driving information your way on the 12.3-inch driver display. Choose from two views. Calm shows speed and basic navigation prompts, while Map shows your route in detail, with turn-by-turn guidance between the dials. The interface is easy to read and complements the centre display.

Keep your focus on the road with the optional head-up display. It projects essential information like speed, speed limits and navigation prompts directly onto the windscreen so they appear to hover over the bonnet. There’s less need to look down or shift your gaze.

The display stays crisp and clear whether you're driving through a tunnel or after dark. You can also adjust the brightness and position to suit your preferences.

Two-zone climate system
The driver and front passenger can set their own temperature through the centre display. The car optimises fan speed and air distribution, but you can still make manual adjustments.


Four-zone climate system
Select four-zone climate to give outer rear passengers their own temperature and fan speed. Rear passengers can adjust them from a touch panel at the back of the centre console.


Cabin pre-conditioning
Tap the Volvo Cars app to bring the cabin to a comfortable temperature before you get in. You can also heat seats, warm the steering wheel and help defrost windows. Pre-clean the air to refresh the interior before your journey begins.

The air quality system continuously filters and monitors incoming air and automatically shuts the cabin's intakes if harmful substances like ozone or exhaust gases are detected.

An optional air purifier helps reduce levels of PM2.5 particles, as well as dust, pollen and airborne viruses.

Run an air purification cycle using the centre display or refresh the cabin remotely via the Volvo Cars app.

Easy ISOFIX anchorages for child seats
Child seats can be installed in any of the three rear seats, with ISOFIX anchorages in the outer positions.

Integrated child seats
When your little ones outgrow their rear-facing child seats, they can transition to the two built-in booster cushions in the second row. With two height settings, these boosters support a proper seatbelt fit and promote comfortable seating posture.

Mechanical or power child lock
The standard mechanical child lock on the rear doors can be upgraded to a power child lock. It lets you control the rear doors and windows directly from the driver's seat.

Our approach to child safety includes rigorous testing based on real-life traffic situations. That's why we strongly recommend keeping kids in rear-facing child seats until they’re at least four years old.

Reduced cabin noise
Quiet is the ultimate luxury in the XC60, where sound insulation and acoustic foam are strategically placed to help reduce wind and road noise. Opt for laminated windows to further enhance the calm.

Suspension options
The standard chassis combines a double wishbone suspension with an integral link in the rear. This design smooths out corners and absorbs bumps, helping you glide through turns. Electronic support systems can improve traction and stability, especially with a trailer hitched.


Select air suspension with active dampers for a more harmonic, controlled drive. The system monitors the car, driver and road 500 times per second, adjusting ride height and stiffness in real time.

Pilot Assist can help maintain a set speed and distance from vehicles ahead, with gentle steering support to help keep the car centred in its lane. Use the indicator, and lane change assist can support the move into the next lane when conditions allow.

The XC60 uses rear radars to help detect cars, cyclists and scooters approaching from behind, alerting you if someone in the car goes to open a door. A Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) light appears in the relevant side mirror. When a collision risk is imminent, the alert can escalate to a warning sound and the BLIS light flashes.

Safety assistance technology can help when you turn across oncoming traffic or continue straight through an intersection with traffic approaching from the side. If there’s a risk of collision, the car can automatically brake.

Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) can provide active support when changing lanes. If there’s a vehicle in your blind spot or fast approaching from behind, a light in the door mirror can alert you. If you start to move towards a vehicle in the adjacent lane, steering support can help gently guide the car back into its lane.

Choose the 360° camera with 3D view to help see around your car when visibility is limited. Four cameras show the area closest to you as you manoeuvre in tight spaces. The centre display combines the camera feeds into a high-resolution 360° bird’s-eye view, with graphics that show the car’s intended path.

Select 3D view for a more intuitive look at the car and its surroundings. Use split-screen to see the front or rear camera view alongside the 360° image, or switch to rear camera zoom when hitching a trailer.

Support is close at hand if the unexpected happens. Press the assist button in the roof console, or use the Volvo Cars app, to contact roadside assistance. In an emergency, press the SOS button to reach an operator who can see the car’s position and send help. If the airbags or safety belt pre-tensioners deploy, the car can automatically contact emergency assistance.
