What are the benefits of approved used cars?
Our approved pre-owned cars with Volvo Selekt come with up to 24 months of nationwide warranty and are only available from your authorised Volvo dealer. They have undergone extensive checks, come with the latest software and have a full service history. Our electric cars also come with a battery health certificate and a battery warranty that is valid for 8 years or 100,000 miles from the car's first registration date, whichever comes first.
How are the cars checked and approved?
Our approved used cars with Volvo Selekt are checked by an authorised Volvo workshop and must meet high standards of safety and quality. We check, among other things:
– Engine and gearbox
– Exhaust system and exhaust gas treatment
– Brakes and tyres
– Lighting and lamps
– Interior and upholstery
– Body
– Check of the car fully lifted
– Service according to service plan
– Stamps in the service book
What is the exchange guarantee?
When you buy an approved used car, there is always a 30-day exchange guarantee. This means that if you are dissatisfied with your approved used car within 30 days or 1,500 miles driving, whichever comes first, we'll exchange the car for another of equivalent value.
When does the warranty start?
The warranty starts from the delivery date stated on the Volvo Selekt certificate you receive from your Volvo retailer. The Volvo Selekt warranty only applies to the person named on the certificate. This means that you cannot transfer the warranty to another owner of the car or export the car to another country. If you do not have a Volvo Selekt certificate, you can always contact your Volvo retailer to have one printed out.
How long is the warranty valid?
Volvo approved used cars have a 12-month unlimited mileage warranty, which comes as standard on all models up to ten years old with less than 100,000 miles. And it covers you across Europe, giving you peace of mind wherever you are.
